Henry Tsin is a practising barrister, arbitrator and chartered quantity surveyor. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), and a Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (MHKIS).

Prior to his joining the legal profession, Mr. Tsin has over two decades of professional experience in the construction industry of Hong Kong, Macau and PRC. He has worked in directorate/senior executive positions of internationally renowned quantity surveying consultant, leading real estate developer and listed construction company. His experience has been diverse and covered a wide variety of construction projects both in public and private sectors, such as civil & infrastructure works; residential, commercial & hotel developments; retail & office renovation/relocation works; and, educational & institutional building projects. During this period, Mr. Tsin gained substantial experience in construction disputes resolution for civil, building and building services works and he was also appointed as quantum expert in both arbitration and high court proceedings.
Whilst Mr. Tsin is now practising in both civil and criminal litigation, he has been an enthusiast in alternative dispute resolution. Mr. Tsin obtained a master degree in Arbitration and Dispute Resolution (MAArbDR) from City University of Hong Kong back in 1995. His research on "The Use of Dispute Resolution Adviser System for Prevention and Resolution of Construction Disputes" has made him the recipient of the Simmons & Simmons Dissertation Prize in 1996. Mr. Tsin is currently a listed arbitrator on the Hong Kong Institute of Architects/Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors Joint Panel of Arbitrators.
Mr. Tsin has been appointed as part-time teacher/tutor for postgraduate courses in arbitration and dispute resolution at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, City University of Hong Kong and HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education.
